AIA Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is an organization of architectural design professionals dedicated to enhancing the quality of our built environment, and thereby the quality of life. The Chapter endeavors to bring together and serve all who are interested in the art and science of architecture. AIA Rhode Island aspires to increase the public’s knowledge and understanding of the architectural profession, expand the knowledge of all participating in the architectural process, and improve the quality of services provided by architectural professionals.

Its purposes are to organize and unite in fellowship the members of the architectural profession within the State of Rhode Island; to promote the aesthetic, scientific, and practical efficiency of the profession; to advance the science and art of planning and building by advancing the standards of architectural education, training, and practice; to coordinate the building industry and the profession of architecture within the State of Rhode Island to ensure the advancement of the living standards of people through their improved environment; and to make the profession of ever-increasing service to society.”
