Homes built to the program use less energy\, have less negative impact on the environment\, and achieve higher levels of occupant health and comfort. The Residential Stretch Code is based heavily on the US Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Homes program and the US Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense program. The code also addresses indoor environmental quality\, building systems\, and appliance efficiency. Completed homes are ready for the installation of renewable energy systems and electric vehicle charging stations. \nThis presentation will cover the basics of Rhode Island’s innovative approach.   It will focus on Zero Energy Ready Home design\, but also give valuable information about how to maximize the many financial incentives available to builders and homeowners.  \nLearning Objectives: \n\nUnderstand the business case for constructing zero energy ready homes. \n\n\nRecognize the home buyer and builder value propositions for purchasing zero net-energy homes in Rhode Island. \n\n\nUnderstand the DOE technical specifications associated with zero energy ready performance. \n\n\n\nUnderstand how to gain recognition for construction zero energy ready homes with the DOE Zero Energy Ready Home program.

With this transformation\, newer and modern aesthetically pleasing materials are being selected to create amazing Outdoor Amenity Spaces. There are more options than ever before including modern concrete slabs\, pedestal rated natural stone slabs and porcelain tile. Technical concerns with durability will be addressed along with an in-depth look at the customization process for concrete products.
