The original home was designed by the great architect and landscape designer Calvert Vaux (1825-1895)\, who with Fredrick Law Olmsted\, Sr. would collaborate on Central Park. Calvert’s son Downing was engaged to Edwin Booth’s daughter Edwina\, but soon after he was asphyxiated by gas fumes (from the gas lighting) before construction began. \nBoothden would enjoy a rich life with fame\, and endure a century of out of scale\, bad additions and abortive interior renovations. David Andreozzi was hired in 2008 to study the remnants of the original historic fabric and rebuild Boothden in the spirit that was originally conceived by Calvert Vaux. \nAdvanced registration is required. \nSpace for the tour is limited\, so please sign-up early as registration will be on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nTour will start promptly at 6:30PM.  Attendees are asked to arrive by 6:15PM. \nAttendees are to meet at the greenhouse located at the street. \nRegister Here \n$5 AIA Members/ $10 non-members URL:https://aia-ri.org/event/epc-construction-tour-boothden/ CATEGORIES:Partner Event END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
