The Rhode Island Studio of Fielding International is currently seeking applicants for the
positions of Architectural Project Manager and Senior Designer. (See below)
Fielding International is an award-winning, global leader for the planning and design of educational
facilities. Fielding plans and designs school facilities for today and tomorrow with one primary goal
in mind — to Design Schools where Students Thrive. For the past 19-years, we have provided
consulting services to many public school districts; private schools, religious and international (IB)
schools; local, regional and national governments and other educational clients in over 50
countries on five continents.
We have four U.S. Studios in Warren, RI; Minneapolis, MN; Ferndale, MI; and College Park MD; plus,
our studio in Singapore, where our Partner Isaac Williams and his team are designing and building
the new 400-million-dollar campus for the Singapore American School. We are a highly integrated
team of Architects, Educators, Planners and Designers backed by both local and international
teams of consulting engineers and specialists. We are unified in our passion and mission to move
school design out of the mid-1950’s and into the rapidly changing world of the 21st Century. Our
landmark book, “The Language of School Design”, attempts to identify a strategy for repairing the
apparent disconnect that has grown between traditional schooling and the emerging best
practices and learning research that supports our common goals in creating learning environments
for tomorrow’s children.
Our studio in Rhode Island is currently immersed in public school projects here in RI and in NY state plus active private and international school projects in Spain and Russia.
The Rhode Island Studio of Fielding International is currently seeking applicants for the positions of Architect Project Manager and Senior Designers. The minimum qualifications for these positions are as follows:
Project Manager
- 10 years’ professional architectural experience with at least 5 years managing projects.(School design experience preferred)
- Minimum B Arch from a NAAB Accredited School
- Licensing optional
- Clear proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and experience working in collaborative teams with BIM 360
- Experience in all phases of the design process, from schematic design through construction administration and close-out.
- An ability to clearly communicate complex ideas through drawing.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with members of the project design team, including our interior designers and educators.
- Solid writing ability.
- Significant experience coordinating all consulting engineering disciplines typically involved in the design of a school project as well as construction Managers and on-site construction personnel.
Senior Designer
- Minimum 5 years’ professional architectural experience working on teams. (School design experience preferred)
- Minimum B Arch from a NAAB Accredited School
- Clear proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and experience working in collaborative teams with BIM 360
- Experience in all phases of the design process, from schematic design through construction administration and close-out.
- An ability to clearly communicate complex ideas through drawing.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with members of the project design
- team, including our interior designers and educators.
- Solid writing ability.
- Some experience assisting in the coordination of consulting engineering disciplines.
