Course description: This presentation discusses Rhode Island’s anticipated adoption of the IECC-2024 code and its anticipated impact on design, construction, and commissioning of major renovations and new construction. Code-complaint envelope improvements could improve occupant comfort and reduce building loads by allowing mechanical systems to be downsized. Covered will be required updates to architectural building envelope design details, particularly those related to air-sealing and insulation. Funded by Rhode Island Energy
