Project Tour Center City Apartments

This course features a guided construction tour of the Taunton Avenue Collaborative, a mixed-income affordable housing development currently under construction in East Providence. Led by members of the Union Studio design team, participants will explore the planning, design, and construction of a 160-unit residential community that integrates affordable housing with supportive services. The tour will examine the collaborative approach among architects, nonprofit organizations, and service providers, highlighting design strategies, construction considerations, and site planning decisions that support long-term community revitalization and resident well-being. Attendees will gain insight into the architectural challenges and opportunities associated with delivering large-scale, mission-driven housing projects through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Hard hats and closed-toe shoes must be worn for the tour.
