RICSI Presents: Hope & Main Project: Culinary Business Incubator Tour & Presentation

{{hope-main{{Join RICSI to tour the new non-profit Hope & Main Culinary Business Incubator at the historic former Main Street School in Warren. This 17,500 sqft project features state-of-the-art workspace for food-related entrepreneurs. The renovation includes 3 commercial kitchens and over 6,000 sqft of production space, which supports small-scale operations for baking, food processing, and catering. In addition, the facility houses a demonstration kitchen and classroom for education / training related to food preparation, cooking, and nutrition, as well as a community room for events and seminars. A year-round town market will be located on the grounds to allow member companies and food producers, as well as local farmers and fishermen, direct access to local consumers. A $3 million U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Community Facilities Loan helped to make this ingenious concept a reality. Designed by local architect Greg Spiess and constructed by Trac Builders, this truly unique project represents the first facility of its kind in RI. 2.5 CEU (pending approval)
