Candidate – Associate Director

I would like to become a part of the AIA RI Board to be a part of the local chapter network. I would greatly value the time spent with peers within the profession. I would also enjoy sharing some of my own unique perspectives as it relates to architecture as I have unique lived experience related to issues of diversity, equity and inclusion and hope those qualities would be an asset to a collaborative board.

I was born with a physical “disability” with a right arm ending above the elbow. This attribute has shaped my lens in many ways. It has provided me insight into achieving ideals central to universal design and the importance of integrating different perspectives in architecture. Therefore, it would be very meaningful to have the opportunity to contribute to a larger community of like-minded peers.
