Wayne Viera, Senior Vice President of Design/Branding at (add)ventures +
Wayne is Senior Vice President, Design/Branding at (add)ventures. Wayne’s design expertise combined with his innate ability to simplify complex communications challenges helps client partners achieve their marketing and branding goals. Through visual communications, including marketing campaigns, print and digital publications, collateral materials, videos, websites and interactive media, Wayne builds collaborative relationships that enable him to effectively lead the design process at (add)ventures.
Previously, Wayne was the art director for a publishing company, where he oversaw three monthly national publications and led the design for the company’s trade show and sales collateral needs. His background also includes expertise in packaging design.
Wayne has served as an adjunct professor for continuing education at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) since 1997 – teaching a range of classes within RISD’s Graphic Design Certificate program. He is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island and earned a bachelor’s degree in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design.
David Ellison & Scotty Menesini-Lorimer Workshop
Entrepreneur David Ellison, created Lorimer Workshop due to his lifelong fascination with antique handmade furniture. His interest in tables traces back to his childhood in Scotland. No matter his day job, he kept his passion for building and restoring at the forefront of his mind. In 2007 he left a 30-year corporate career to pursue his dream of building affordable handcrafted wooden tables.
The Lorimer Workshop is located in the heart of industrial Providence, Rhode Island. David and his team are committed to designing and building distinctive, quality, hand crafted farm tables, conference tables, maintenance free restaurant tables and office desks using as much repurposed wood and materials as possible.
Lead designer, Scotty Menesini, will join David in the conversation.
Scotty is a RISD and UPennn graduate who’s work has received awards from The International Sculpture Center and the James Cook Foundation. His knowledge of sculpture, wood working and metal working make him a versatile designer.
