RI Commercial Energy Code: Envelope and Building Science

This course presents basic building science principles, including the forces that affect the movement of air and moisture through building assemblies and materials. Forensic building investigation results are utilized to illustrate the structural and energy performance degradation that occurs when building science principles are not followed. The current commercial RI Energy Code provisions for envelope design and construction are covered and directly related to building science issues.
