Four RI designers to be inducted during special DESIGN WEEK RI celebration
DESIGNxRI will honor the 2016 inductees to the RI Design Hall of Fame at a special ceremony during DESIGN WEEK RI. Established in 2014, the RI Design Hall of Fame recognizes proven leaders in the Rhode Island design community for their contributions to the industry on local, national and international levels. The 2016 honorees will be inducted at a celebratory event on September 22 from 6-11pm on the Rooftop of the Providence G, as part of DESIGN WEEK RI, which takes place from September 14-25, 2016.

The 2016 RI Design Hall of Fame inductees in the Lifetime Achievement category are: graphic designer Malcolm Grear, posthumously; interior designer Nancy Taylor; and architect Peter Twombly. Textile artist and designer Eliza Squibb will receive the Emerging Designer Award.
