AIAri COTE Presents: The What, Why and How of Continuous Insulation

Tue January 20, 2015 at 5:30 pm - 4:00 am

The Window on Architecture, 158 Washington Street, Providence, RI 02903

1HSW LU

There is no charge for this event.

Join AIAri COTE for its first event of 2015 to learn more about what continuous is, why it is important, and how to achieve ACTUAL continuous insulation.  Hint, you are not allowed to use metal zees!!

Energy code requirements for opaque building envelope assemblies have changed significantly in the last two code cycles to require increasing amounts of continuous insulation in more assembly types.  This increase has been to address more stringent energy efficiency goals and practical limitations (a polite way of saying problems) of wall assemblies that use stud cavity insulation.

Presenters:

Christopher Armstrong, Stephen Turner Inc. (Moderator)

Brian Nelson, Knight Wall Systems

Beau Preston, Advanced Architectural Products
