5:30 – Photography: The evening starts with an opportunity to upgrade your professional image from selfie to savvy with help from professional headshot photographer Stacey Doyle of Stacey Doyle Photography. Professional headshots are FREE for IIDA and AIA members and each guest will receive digital copies to keep their website and social media profiles up to date. 

6:30 – Presentation: This event will provide a full night of ‘business value’ including a “90 min MBA” class presented by James R. Kimball, Jr. AIA, Principal at Phase Zero Design. The presentation is registered for IDCEC and AIA continuing education credits (1.5LU). The 90-Minute MBA for the Emerging Professional will introduce basic business principles for the design profession. To succeed in today’s volatile marketplace, emerging professionals must have a strong business foundation to survive and thrive. This seminar will empower the emerging professional to chart their career path to success by offering insights into how a firm is created, managed, and is sustained as well as what role they can play in their firm’s success. Attendees will be introduced to several business and management topics including:

Professional Clothing Drive

We are happy to host a professional clothing drive to benefit The Clothing Collaborative at the Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island, that works with immigrants and refugees, at the event. By donating gently used items, you are helping to provide those in need with interview and work appropriate clothing at no cost to low-income men and women who are completing job training and education programs and seeking employment. Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be sent in writing to jbartram@intrinxec.com. Cancellations received on or before May 17, 2018, will be refunded less a $15 cancellation fee. Registrations cancelled after May 17, 2018, will not be refunded.
