Vision for the Greater Kennedy Plaza: Walkabout & Panel Discussion
Wed October 15, 2014 at 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The Vision for Greater Kennedy Plaza, a project being implemented through a public-private partnership between the Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy and the City of Providence, is to create a pedestrian-friendly environment, encourage RIPTA ridership, bolster economic well-being, promote arts and culture, and encourage tourism. The first steps towards implementation of the long-range Vision for Kennedy Plaza are under construction. Join CNU New England for a walkabout in Kennedy Plaza to experience progress firsthand, followed by a panel discussion at Aurora reviewing the vision, progress, programming, and next steps. “Ideas for admission” are required at the door – provide your walkabout observations and thoughts regarding next steps towards implementation of the vision.
5:30 pm – Kennedy Plaza walkabout. Meet in front of Providence City Hall, 25 Dorrance Street
6:00 pm – Reception and panel discussion at Aurora, 276 Westminster Street
This event is open to all! Suggested $5 donation helps CNU New England to sustain this regularly occurring educational event series at Aurora throughout the year. Please RSVP here.
